Wine is So Hard to Learn Yet Enticing
Starting from grape varietals, region, country, climate and terminology…
Is learning about wine easy?
The answer is no! It takes a lot of mental power, and you find yourself wanting to visit Europe and help the wine growers. However, I have always been fascinated by wine. I love the way it tastes, the way it smells, and the way it makes me feel. But learning about wine has been a challenge. There’s so much to learn, and it can be overwhelming.
One of the hardest things about learning about wine is the terminology. There are so many different terms used to describe wine, and it can be hard to keep track of them all. For example, what’s the difference between a “Cabernet Sauvignon” and a “Merlot”? Or a “Pinot Grigio” and a “Sauvignon Blanc”?
Another challenge is the different regions where wine is produced. Each region has its own unique climate and terroir, which affects the flavor of the wine. For example, a Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley will taste different than a Cabernet Sauvignon from Bordeaux.
Learning about wine is not easy. It takes a lot of mental power and you find yourself wanting to visit Europe and help the wine growers.
